A clear difference in size, shape or nipple position between the breasts — or breasts that never developed — can be corrected by treating each side individually.

Types of asymmetry
One breast clearly smaller or underdeveloped (hypoplasia)
One breast larger or lower than the other
Different shapes, for example one tuberous breast
Nipples at different levels or of different size
Smaller, underdeveloped side
Larger side
Size, shape and nipple level matched

Balanced, natural results — planned around your body and your wishes.
How balance is restored
The smaller breast is enlarged with an implant or fat grafting, and the larger breast can be lifted or reduced. Nipple position and areola size are matched. The aim is a balanced appearance in clothing and without — two sides that look like a pair.
Tumour with clear margin
Tissue rearranged (reduction pattern)
Symmetry on the other side
Figure 2The larger breast can be lifted or reduced using the same patterns as in reduction surgery.
Recovery
Most corrections need one night in hospital and about a week in Istanbul. Light activity resumes within days; sport is avoided for four to six weeks.

Breast asymmetry correction in Istanbul, Turkey
Asymmetry correction is a single-stage operation for most patients. Clear photographs and your bra sizes for each side help prepare an initial plan before you travel to Istanbul.

Frequently asked questions
Is some asymmetry normal?
Yes. Slight differences are common. Correction is considered when the difference is clearly visible or affects clothing and confidence.
Can both breasts be treated in one operation?
Usually yes — enlarging one side and lifting or reducing the other are often combined.
